With more than 25 years of experience, our policy team’s top priorities are the issues that impact the success of our members and business community. We work alongside lawmakers and community leaders to advocate for legislation that ensures business growth, job creation, and prosperity for all.
Our business advocacy process consists of four key strategies; listen, inform, influence, and report.
Legislative Updates
Each year the Chamber’s board of directors adopts a State and Metro Legislative Agenda informed by the issues identified by our members in our annual policy survey. These agendas are then shared with state and local elected officials. To record the impact of our advocacy efforts, our annual Legislative Scorecards report how elected leaders voted in the past year in relation to the Chamber’s priority legislative areas.
Advocacy
We engage local, regional, and state lawmakers on the issues that impact the well-being and prosperity of our region. From infrastructure, income-aligned housing, and transit, to talent pipelines and educational disparities, we are committed to making our region a great place to live, work, and do business.
